Thinking of Home

As our count down continues towards the day we fly home.  We are amazed at the weather fronts amassing to greet us.  Storms hitting the east coast and earth quakes and tsunami on the west coast with heavy snow fall warnings thrown in for good measure.  Well it give us a reminder to pray for safety on our continent when we think of home.

Steve and I have been watching the US presidential debates on the internet.  Sometimes it is easier to follow their campaigns over the Canadian ones because there are only two candidates and their sideshow opps VP to follow.  I am finding it very interesting this time because two big issues seem to be "When will you get our troops out of Afghanistan?" and "Why did you not crush Libya during the Embassy attack?" - Obama and for Romney - "Would you have sent in an attack?"  What a spot to be put on do you want our soldier home safe and sound or do you want them out there protecting our citizens around the world?  And how to answer both to the satisfaction of votes in only one hours viewing time.

You know you are ready to head home when you read more hometown news than vacation news. =)
