Monday in the Emerald Isle

Yesterday the weather in the morning was terrible, strong winds and driving rain.  Steve was back to work after a week off with his back.  The kids and I felt bored, just like the kids in the book Cat in the Hat.  So my blog got a facelift and we went bowling.

The Odyssey right next door has 12 theaters, restaurants, ice arena and bowling.  We only had to brave the weather for 2 minutes and we were inside with lots of fun things to do.  I decided we should have lunch out it has been a while.  We tried out Soda Joe's that was very disappointing, the food was not good.  We should have done Pizza Hut instead.

After lunch we went ten pin bowling.  They have a really nice bowling alley.  It has automated bumpers for any one who needs them.  As you enter the players name on the score card you pick bumpers or no and they raise or lower automatically for the right players, cool.  The girls started out with no bumpers but soon decided to add them.  They are more used to the smaller bowling balls.  Samuel could have given Fred Flinstone a run for his money with his amazing form.  He did kick butt though.

The evening had much gentler rain showers.  I was able to very quickly snap this picture.  It is part mist and a lot of rain.  I thought it was beautiful.  In all it was a fun day.

Sabrina and Samuel, I should have given them some soap.
